A holy place for those interested in gazing upon our feathery friends, Rajaji National Park is blessed with more than 400 bird species comprising of 151 are residents, 87 migrants, and 49 are altitudinal migrants, 7 are local migrants.
Along with 11 species of woodpeckers, 5 species of barbets and 3 species of hornbills you can see Indian Pitta, Yellow-billed Blue Magpie, Himalayan Monal, Kalij Pheasant, Greylag Goose, Black-naped Monarch, Blue-capped Redstart, Laughingthrush, Falcated Duck, 12 speciesof cookoo, Eurasian Eagle Owl and many more
